Mike Santorelli was named to the 2006-07 RBK Hockey All-American West Team as a second team selection. The junior forward from Burnaby, B.C. was a first-team All-Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) selection as he led the conference in overall goals with 30 and conference goals with 23.
He was one of seven players from the CCHA selected to the team.
“We are really proud of Mike and his accomplishment. Mike is our third All-American in the past three years,” NMU head coach Walt Kyle said. “That speaks volumes for the type of player who is in the program.”
NMU has had three All-Americans in the past three years (Tuomas Tarkki and Nathan Oystrick). Tarkki in 2005 was NMU’s first All-American since Jim Hiller in 1992.
Santorelli led the 2006-07 Wildcats in goals (30) and points (47).
