Track competes aptly in two separate competitions

NMU’s track team competed in two separate meets this past weekend, with the majority of the team competing in the North Country Invite in Duluth, Minn.

Three other members, Leslie Luehmann, Bailey Franklin and Melissa Christensen, competed in the heptathlon in the Northwood Multis.

“Both meets went really good,” head coach Tom Barnes said. “Plus, it gave the (heptathletes) a chance to compete before the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) meet.”

Northern finished second at the North Country Invite with 146.5 points. The University of Duluth-Minnesota finished first with a score of 255.
