Workshop teaches how to make traditional German decorations
Skill Builder! The Art of German Paper Stars will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 in the Back Room of the University Center.
Jill Rady, Girl Scout community development manager, will be instructing students how to create these traditional Christmas decorations.
“This is a fun, traditional handcraft that will put you in the holiday mood,” Rady said. “It’s an inexpensive hobby that can be shared with friends and family.”
German paper stars are a Christmas tradition, normally made with 16 points and dipped in wax to preserve their shape. They are then usually hung outside homes as decorations. Supplies and instructions will be provided at the workshop.
