University adopts Roadmap to 2012

In a surprising turn of events, NMU President Wes Long held a campus-wide meeting on Tuesday, March 24 to alert students, faculty, staff and community members of his decision to scrap the Roadmap to 2015 in favor of a Roadmap that only leads to 2012. "I saw the trailer for that movie, '2012,' and I knew we had better change our focus," he said to a packed house in Jamrich 102.

The North Wind is an independent student publication serving the Northern Michigan University community. It is partially funded by the Student Activity Fee. The North Wind digital paper is published every Friday during the fall and winter semesters except on university holidays and during exam weeks. The North Wind Board of Directors is composed of representatives of the student body, faculty, administration and area media.
