THE AMAN PROJECT — The Refugee Outreach Collective Humanitas and NMUs philosophy department is hosting a fundraiser to raise funds for the Aman Project, a humanitarian organization located in Istanbul, Turkey, that supports LGBTQ+ refugees and asylum seekers are in need of assistance. Donation are encouraged but not required to enter the events raffle.

NMU golf hosts lone tournament of the year

Northern's golf team held its lone home tournament of the year this past weekend, at the Marquette Golf Club. The invite was host to 13 teams, with Grand Valley taking the crown at a three-round total of 847. Indianapolis University earned a second-place finish with an 858 and Wayne State rounded out the top three at 871.

The North Wind is an independent student publication serving the Northern Michigan University community. It is partially funded by the Student Activity Fee. The North Wind digital paper is published every Friday during the fall and winter semesters except on university holidays and during exam weeks. The North Wind Board of Directors is composed of representatives of the student body, faculty, administration and area media.
