Local boutique hosts fashion show

Style, color, glitz and patterns.

If you enjoy fashion and would like a chance to model unique country-glam clothing, the Boxcar Boutique, located in downtown Ishpeming, will be holding a fashion show on Oct. 8.

Locals and the loyal customers of the Boxcar are being sought to model some of the outfits offered by the store.

“We want to show women how to wear our clothes and how to put them together with our other pieces,” said Carolyn Lindholm, owner of The Boxcar Boutique.

The boutique opened its doors at the end of April and offers clothing from junior sizes to 3X, as well as jewelry, gifts and home decor.

Models of all shapes and sizes are encouraged to show off their runway walk.

Lindholm opened the boutique to bring fashion for women to the community and as a way to give back to the women of the community.

The boutique has used  profits to anonymously send funds to single mothers and other women in need locally.

“It’s an avenue of finances to give back and empower women,” Lindholm said.

Those interested in modeling in the boutique’s upcoming fashion show can send inquires to The Boxcar’s facebook page The Boxcar or their email [email protected].
