The NMU flag will be low- ered to half-staff today in honor of a student who died in his home last week. A scholarship has also been set up in honor of his memory.
NMU student Hunter Negri, 18, died on Tuesday, Jan. 16. Negri was a first-year student from Marquette and was pursuing a degree in accounting.
According to Negri’s obituary, he was an avid bowler, holding the highest average in the Upper Peninsula last year with the distinction of bowling three perfect games. In his free time, Hunter also enjoyed cars and hunting with his father.
