Northern Michigan University Women’s Soccer dropped Sunday’s afternoon match, 2-0, to the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs (UMD).
After a number of offensive chances, the Bulldogs took the lead in the 65th minute after a corner kick bounced around in front of the net before finally being scored by a Duluth attacker. Another corner kick with less than a minute to play gave UMD their second goal of the match to hand the Wildcats a 2-0 defeat.
Next up for the Wildcats will be their first road contest of the season when they take on the University of Southern Indiana in Hammond, Indiana, on the campus of Purdue University-Northwest.
