The Wildcats had a mixed performance over the weekend, finishing with a 1-1 record. They started by taking on the No. 21 ranked Ferris State Bulldogs, falling in three sets 12-25, 15-25, 17-25 on Sept. 9. However, they bounced back the next day when they faced Lake Superior State University.
The Cats swept Lake Superior in three straight sets 25-19, 25-21, 29-27 helping them improve to a 3-4 GLIAC record. Overall, Wildcats now hold a 4-11 record for the season.
“It was good to see that kind of rebound … all of us putting that kind of work in to have a different approach mattered a lot, and you can see the results of that,” Head Coach Mike Lozier said.
