Headlining the upcoming NoMAD concert will be indie rock band Husbands, with their supporting act Pretty Jane  featuring local band and opener The Casper Fight Scene. On April 4 at 7 p.m. at the Northern Center, students can attend the concert for free with their NMU ID.

“I would describe the vibe of the concert as indie rock music that’s catchy and fun to dance to,” Thomas Chicka, a member of NoMAD said. “Pretty Jane describes their sound as ‘music that feels like kissing your friends,’ and Husbands’ discography is filled with anthemic and richly produced tracks that will stick in your head after the show.”

According to Chicka, Husbands recently completed a headlining tour featuring their fourth and newest album “Cuatro.” Both Pretty Jane and The Casper Fight Scene are making big moves and passionately pursuing music.

“We hope everyone that comes will catch our ‘Spring Fever,'” Chicka said. “NoMAD’s concerts are aimed at expanding the musical horizons of the community by exposing students to bands that they might not have heard before. If we fulfill our role as a club, attendees will get to come enjoy the music and maybe even leave with a few new songs added to their playlists.”
