The Northern Michigan Football team’s annual spring game took place last Saturday, with the White team emerging victorious over the Gold team 10-0.
Freshman Quarterback Aidan Hoard would connect with Sophomore Wide Receiver Sam Peiffer late in the first quarter for the game’s only touchdown. Kicker Owen Halverson would also convert on a 44-yard field goal to extend White’s lead to 10-0 in the dying minutes of the game.
Head Coach Shane Richardson expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance, saying, “Yeah, I really liked it. I think guys went into this game, very competitively charged, kind of had something on the line, you know, we split up into two real teams and played a game and I think that was good for us.”
