A warm change of pace from the chilly weather, Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) will be selling hot cocoa in Jamrich on Jan. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in efforts to fundraise for their organization. Each cup of cocoa will be $2.
“Our intent for this event is to raise money for leadership funds. These funds will help send some of our members to the Regional Leadership Conference coming up, and to Leadership Academy in the summer,” said Benjamin Grant, a TKE member.
The Regional Leadership Conference is an opportunity for the TKE members on campus to connect with others across the country and further their leadership skills, which they look forward to sharing with Northern’s campus.
“This event is very exciting for our organization because of all the opportunities and benefits that can come along with it,” Grant said. “The conferences and academies will help us become great leaders and learn how to better ourselves. Furthermore, we aren’t just becoming better leaders for TKE—we are becoming better leaders for NMU and the world.”
Students interested in a cozy pick-me-up for a good cause, make sure you stop at the hot cocoa stand on the first floor.
