Buggy treats like dirt cups, buggy chow (puppy chow), bug legs (chocolate covered pretzels) and sugar cookies with bugs decorated on them were on the menu today for a bake sale on campus.

The Entomology Club hosted their two-day bake sale in the Jamrich Hall ticket booth on Tuesday, Feb. 25 and Wednesday Feb. 26.

Lila Panizzo, a member of the club, said the bake sale had a good turnout on the first day, and hoped even more would come out to support them on the second day.

Panizzo joined the Entomology Cub because she knew one of its creators, Josie Pardel. After seeing Pardel’s excitement for creating a space for all bug lovers on campus, Panizzo decided to join, and is now a regular member.

Bringing unity among bug loving students is a big part of the organization, and baking the treats continued this. In addition to this getting together to make bug-themed treats, members of the club got to hang out outside of their typical bug-filled meetings.

“Everyone gets along really well,” Panizzo said. “We all just like chatting to each other.”
