Northern Nooks – Radio X

There are many places on campus that the everyday student doesn’t know about. Those places are the focus of Northern Nooks, a new online video tour of the little known spots that furthers students’ experiences at NMU.

This week, the source of a familiar sound will be the focus of the tour, as Northern Nooks checks out WUPX-FM, Radio X in the University Center. For the first time, I am leading the tour of the student radio station, as I am the sports director of the station.

The small student radio station is as vibrant in its décor as its on-air personalities, with album and concert posters covering the walls and painted ceiling tiles for each semester of students working at Radio X. With a room filled with music, production equipment and new microphones, the student station is able to output a sound of professional quality.

Send suggestions for Northern Nooks segments to [email protected].
