Letter to the Editor:

To the Editor,

As many know, the Siril Endowment for the Music Arts sponsors free cinema showings of great operas and ballets from the Royal Opera in London, presented in the Jamrich Auditorium.

All are invited to share free pizza and pop afterward. The final showing of the school year is this coming Sunday, April 10, at 5 p.m., a wonderful ballet on Romeo and Juliet, with music by Prokofiev.

We’ve appreciated the turnout for these events over the past two years, but I’ve become concerned that the length of the showings may discourage some from
attending.  I’d like to reassure students  that, while we hope you’ll will stay for  the entire event, you are free to enjoy whatever portion fits into your schedule, leaving at intermission if necessary.

The events are intended to provide an introduction to art forms that are unfamiliar to many students, and it would be better to attend a part of a production than miss the opportunity altogether.

So please spread the word on this point, and I hope to see many of you on Sunday!
