The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is an established organization devoted to promoting equal rights for women. There are chapters located across the country with one here in Marquette. Graduate student Taylor Susa said she got involved in the organization in August, shortly after graduating with her undergrad degree and is now a membership co-chair. Part of her responsibilities in this position is recruiting members, so she decided to reach out to students and created AAUW-NMU. “This organization is really unique since it is all women working together for women at both a student organization level, chapter level and at the national level,” Susa said.
