Spanish Club offers students an opportunity to gather, play games, watch movies and cook meals while practicing speaking conversationally in Spanish and learning about different Spanish-speaking cultures. “My involvement in Spanish Club has helped me build friendships with people who share the same passion and interests in Spanish that I do,” Co-president Savannah Walker, senior, Spanish major said. “My favorite part is, of course, practicing Spanish, but I also enjoy having conversations with other members about Latin American culture and swapping stories about our times spent traveling or studying abroad.” If students are interested, Walker encourages them to join the NMU Spanish Club Facebook group or they can contact her directly at [email protected]. “We are always looking forward to having new members join,” Walker said.
