On Tuesday, March 22, Safe on Campus announced via email that commuter students will have the chance to sign up for a $50 gas card in light of rising gas prices.

According to Safe on Campus, through a generous gift from a donor, the NMU Foundation has provided us with funding to provide five hundred $50 gas cards to commuter students in need of this type of support.

Commuter students can enter the drawing through the Bridge link sent out through email.

Due to the snow day on Wednesday, the drawing originally set to close on March 24 has been extended to midnight on Friday, March 25. Those whose names were drawn will receive a notice via email and the gift cards will be available for pickup at the NMU Police Department.

Those selected in the first drawing have until 5 p.m. Thursday, March 31, to pick up the gift card. Cards not picked up by that time will be redistributed in a second random drawing from those who did not receive a card in the first drawing.”
