At the start of the second annual Mind over Miles 5K, NMU and the Marquette community came together on a fall evening. With snacks and hydration along the route, the runners came together at the Wildcat statue outside Jamrich Hall to begin the event with stretching, socializing and lots of water bottles.

In 2023, former NMU president Brock Tessman signed the Okanagan Charter, promising to commit to a holistic approach to mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health. NMU Wellbeing runs holistic programs such as the 5K for students across campus promoting a better approach to mental health.
