With the thermometer hovering under 40 degrees Fahrenheit, Marquette residents strolled through the streets with perhaps just a bit of caffeine buzz from the 8th annual Coffee Crawl, put on by NMU’s Public Relations Student Society to support the Women’s Center. The tickets, $20 each, entitled participants to free samples of coffee from twelve local cafes. Signing up for time slots from eight in the morning to 2 PM, coffee crawlers could walk at their own pace from location to location, trying a variety of spring drinks and trying new coffee shops that may have flown under the radar.
For those unable to participate who still want to support a good cause, donate to the Marquette Women’s Center here, or sign up to volunteer. For women impacted by domestic or sexual violence, including human trafficking, the Women’s Center’s 24-hour hotline can be reached at 906-226-6611.
