NMU career center hosts annual job fair

NMU career center hosts annual job fair

Due to the current state of the world, finding a job may present a challenge to some. Many businesses have changed the way they operate, have shut down and have stopped hiring due to Covid-19 restrictions. NMU offers a job search engine to all students that is intuitive and easy to use.

Handshake offers students the ability to apply to multiple jobs efficiently via a menu which allows the selection of specific documents to be uploaded, and the search engine that allows for searching on campus, off campus, in accordance to a major, and other options. Students who are unaware of Handshake can find it on their student account in the student services tab.

On October 21st, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, career services will be hosting a virtual job fair on Handshake for students to attend and learn more. This fair is designed for all NMU students, but also focuses on soon to be graduates and those interested in an internship pertaining to their major, according to the NMU events listing.
