Marquette’s Landmark Inn is hosting its first-ever graduation luncheon for this year’s NMU graduates. Decked out in green and gold, the Inn is inviting everyone who is in town, including friends and family of graduates, to come and celebrate student achievement.

NMU is part of what makes Marquette so special, and we have a longstanding relationship with Northern,” Stefanie Congdon, the Inn’s general manager, said. “We have many Wildcats on staff, and maintaining a strong bond with the University, including current students, alumni and NMU families, is extremely important to us.”

The luncheon will be served buffet-style, serving dishes ranging from soups to desserts. A few select menu items are vegan sweet potato and quinoa chili, flatbread paninis, pasta alfredo primavera and New York cheesecake. The full menu can be viewed here.

“We will continue searching for ways to reach out to NMU, through internships, hosting events, and sponsoring departments that are important to us,” said Congdon.  In particular, the Landmark works together with NMU’s Hospitality Program to train their culinary and hospitality students.

Congdon specified that precautions will be taken at the luncheon due to Covid-19 concerns, including spacing between tables, sanitizing stations, optional masking and a fully vaccinated staff.

The buffet-style luncheon will be held in the Landmark Inn’s ballroom on Saturday, April 30, from 12:30 to 4:30 pm. There is a $25 fee for each person for the buffet, but there is no admission fee. Reservations can be made by calling (906) 315-8152 or by emailing [email protected].

“We want to make sure we are a great home base for our NMU family,” Congdon said.
