Students looking to test their knowledge can attend trivia night hosted by the Special Events Committee and co-hosted by Campus Cinema this Wednesday, March 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. in Jamrich 1100. Attendees should arrive early as students will be let in on a first come, first served basis.

Trivia night will showcase episodes of The Office in between the four different rounds of trivia including The Office and sitcom to match up with the Winterfest theme of sitcoms and the Snow and other general topics including pop culture.

There will also be snacks, a raffle, prizes and more, so students should definitely come out, said Ali Deutsch, the special events coordinator at the Center for Student Enrichment.

“We’ll have a couple of different rounds of prizes that will range from Winterfest prize packs with some additional prizes, to The Office-themed prize packs, to Beats and Nintendo Switches,” Deutsch said. “We will also have a costume contest with prizes, as well as a raffle for cardboard cutouts of the characters.”

Choosing the theme of the event, Deutsch said, was a team effort. Both the SEC and Campus Cinema decided to do an Instagram poll to decide the most popular sitcom, and The Office won that poll.

The contest is just a really fun way for students to get more involved. Dressing up according to the theme will really help and add just another level of fun to the event,” Deutsch said.
