NMU’s Pre-Veterinary Medicine Club is hosting a bake sale tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Jamrich ticket window to raise funds for new stethoscopes.

Students can expect to see a variety of sweet treats such as puppy chow, cookies, Rice Krispies Treats, brownies and cupcakes, said Paige Isaacson, a senior biology major and president of the Pre-Vet Club.

The club is trying to promote itself on campus while also raising funds to purchase stethoscopes and other materials to aid in building hands-on skills that members can take with them into the workplace in addition to veterinary school.

Members also want to take a trip to the Madison Zoo in May to speak with a zoo veterinarian and get a tour of the zoo’s hospital, Isaacson said.

“I would personally encourage students to stop by the sale so that they can get some tasty treats on one of the busiest days of the week for most students, as well as become more familiar with some of our faces,” Isaacson said.

Students interested in the Pre-Vet Club can request to join on the Hub or contact Paige Isaacson, president, at [email protected] or Alexandria Smith, vice president, at [email protected].
