Jamming the night away with NoMAD

Three bands rocked The Witching Hour concert Saturday.

Lights, music, cheering and dancing filled the Northern Center Ballroom on Saturday, Oct. 28 as Northern Michigan University’s NoMAD hosted their Halloween-themed concert, The Witching Hour. A mix of indie, rap, pop and surf-rock from three different bands filled the room and ears of attendees at the concert. Passed Out Curbside, Aint Afraid and Spooky Mansion put on a show that had everyone rocking.

Nicola Falco, the lead guitarist and vocalist of Passed Out, Curbside, is also a student at NMU.

“My dad was in a cover band when I was younger, and he gave me one of his guitars, he taught me chords, and I was self-taught since then,” Falco said.

Abigail Faix, Features Editor
My name is Abby, I am a fourth-year student at Northern. I am studying Multimedia Journalism with a minor in Political Science. I've always been passionate about journalism since I was in high school. I was offered this position as a Journalism Practicum student and am now so thankful to have the opportunity to write for The Northwind as the new Features Editor. I've found that The Northwind has led me to more connections throughout the university and community than I would find on my own. I'm always interested in getting to know new people and what's happening around Marquette.
