It’s fairly normal for there to be some burnout at this time of the year. Many students and professors expect it. And we have to keep in mind that COVID-19 is still around as an additional stressor, along with ongoing tensions having to do with administrative upheaval and the faculty contract situation.

The North Wind is an independent student publication serving the Northern Michigan University community. It is partially funded by the Student Activity Fee. The North Wind digital paper is published every Friday during the fall and winter semesters except on university holidays and during exam weeks. The North Wind Board of Directors is composed of representatives of the student body, faculty, administration and area media.
