A couple of my friends recently explained to me what they think of in relation to the term “cult”, and the results ranged from “like in the movies, like a massive hierarchy, living together, all of them are having to dress the same” to “strange rituals, the kool-aid guy, hidden remote areas.” So what was it really like?

The North Wind is an independent student publication serving the Northern Michigan University community. It is partially funded by the Student Activity Fee. The North Wind digital paper is published every Friday during the fall and winter semesters except on university holidays and during exam weeks. The North Wind Board of Directors is composed of representatives of the student body, faculty, administration and area media.
