After 131 days of working without a contract and mediation between the administration, the faculty union, NMU-AAUP, finally voted in favor of ratifying the most recent five-year contract proposal.

Northern Michigan University's faculty union, NMU-AAUP, continues to fight for a contract as they now cross over the 100-day mark without one.
UNION AT WORK — A truck parked on campus during the faculty contract negotiations. Watching a union settle disputes in real time was a pretty big deal for me, and it spread across campus as well.
