Quite frankly, the wonderful world of Pokémon is a franchise that has kept my inner child alive and well since I began my studies at NMU. I have always had a collector’s personality, so the appeal of a franchise whose marketing is based on the tagline “Gotta catch ‘em all” was not lost on me when I first came across it.

The North Wind is an independent student publication serving the Northern Michigan University community. It is partially funded by the Student Activity Fee. The North Wind digital paper is published every Friday during the fall and winter semesters except on university holidays and during exam weeks. The North Wind Board of Directors is composed of representatives of the student body, faculty, administration and area media.
