Nordic Skiing wrapped up the U.S. Cross Country Skiing Championships at Kincaid Park on Jan. 15 following four tournaments. After Completing the event, three Wildcats qualified for the World Championships set to take place in Switzerland after this month. Sophomore Zak Ketterson, and junior Ian Torchia qualified for the men’s team, and junior Nicole Schneider qualified for the women’s team. The three skiers will travel to Goms, Switzerland for the championships that will begin on Jan. 28 and last through Feb. 3.

The North Wind is an independent student publication serving the Northern Michigan University community. It is partially funded by the Student Activity Fee. The North Wind digital paper is published daily during the fall and winter semesters except on university holidays and during exam weeks.
