Hockey’s heroic late season rally falls flat in WCHA Championship game

Going back to two months in late January, the NMU Hockey team was dead in the water. Sitting at 2-10, the Wildcats’ season was all but over.

‘Cats fall apart in 6-2 loss to Bowling Green

The NMU Hockey team welcomed in Bowling Green for a series this past weekend, and walked away with a record of 0-1-1. After tying on Saturday night in a 0-0 game, the Wildcats collapsed in the third period in Sunday's match-up, resulting in a 6-2 loss.

The NMU Hockey team went through a struggle in the month of January, losing eight straight games. However in the final two games of the month, the Wildcats swept its home series with Ferris State to even their record to 2-2 in WCHA play.
