OPEN SKATE — NMU Students gather at Lakeview Arena for Open Skate Night. The Special Events Committee is hosting two upcoming skate nights for the semester on Friday, Feb. 3 from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. in the Olson Rink and on Thursday, March 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Russell Rink.

The fully operational panels, located next to the SHINE building on Presque Isle Avenue, are the largest project to be financed entirely by the Green Fund, a five-dollar per semester student-paid fee.

The North Wind is an independent student publication serving the Northern Michigan University community. It is partially funded by the Student Activity Fee. The North Wind digital paper is published every Friday during the fall and winter semesters except on university holidays and during exam weeks. The North Wind Board of Directors is composed of representatives of the student body, faculty, administration and area media.
